As a Mechanical Design Engineer (d/f/m) in Finkenwerder, you will play a key role in the Seat-to-Seat cable integration of aircraft cabins. You will be responsible for designing, developing and documenting engineering solutions that ensure safe, high-quality and on-time implementation in a complex aerospace environment.

- Define Seat-to-Seat cable lengths and integrate electrical wiring into the aircraft cabin based on customer-specific system configurations.
- Develop, review and design technical solutions for aircraft cable integration.
- Prepare engineering documentation within the ATA92 framework in compliance with applicable standards and ensure the verification and validation of design solutions.
- Support the timely and high-quality delivery of engineering solutions throughout the End-to-End Customization process.
- Create and maintain 2D and 3D designs, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, design standards and interface specifications.
- Drive the continuous improvement of engineering processes and actively contribute to process optimization and improvement projects.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at different organizational levels to coordinate technical topics and ensure successful project execution.

- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable engineering discipline.
- You have gained professional experience in aircraft engineering, mechanical design, product development, or a comparable technical project environment.
- You have practical experience with Electrical System Installation (ESI) and a solid understanding of aircraft electrical integration.
- You are familiar with civil aviation documentation and have experience preparing or working with technical engineering documentation.
- You possess sound knowledge of project management and engineering change processes.
- You are experienced in 2D and 3D design, ideally using CAD systems, and have knowledge of 3D measurement techniques, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and dimensional inspection methods.
- You communicate confidently in English and have good German language skills to collaborate effectively within an international engineering environment.
- You are recognized for your independent, structured and results-oriented working style, combined with strong analytical thinking and excellent communication skills.
