### What to Expect
We’re seeking a motivated, hands-on engineer with an electrical engineering background to join our Geartrain Manufacturing Team. This group designs and builds production lines for geartrains within Optimus Actuators.The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has excellent engineering and physics fundamentals with hands on experience, is excited about manufacturing equipment and process development, does not shy away from a challenge, highly organized, has great attention to detail, and is able to work in fast paced development environment. with analytical and practical engineering focus. This role requires up to ~20-25% domestic and international travel.
### What You’ll Do
* Develop fully automated manufacturing lines from first principles, optimizing cost, lead time and complexity * Research, specify, and integrate electrical test equipment including measurement tools, power supplies, sensors, and I/O devices to verify and validate manufacturing equipment ahead of production launch and during production * Design and review NFPA79/NEC/UL508A-compliant industrial electrical control panels * Implement and validate OSHA
### What You’ll Bring
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience * 5+ years of hands-on controls/mechatronics/test/automation engineering experience * Experience specifying electrical test equipment including but not limited to power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers * Proficiency building complex machine schematics in EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar electrical CAD software * Exposure to automation in an industrial/manufacturing environment
