You'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans.
Tasks * Design and execute manual and automated test cases.
* Run (pre-)certifications and support engineering teams in successfully achieving approvals of various music services incl. Google Cast, Spotify and AirPlay.
* Review and optimize existing test plans and bring in your own ideas.
* Collaborate with developers to identify, report, and track bugs and defects.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality assurance processes, as well as our initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
* Follow and help implement further QA best practices across the department.
Requirements * Strong interest in software testing: You're passionate about finding bugs and ensuring software quality.
* Ability to learn quickly: You're a fast learner who can grasp new concepts and technologies quickly.
* Attention to detail: You have a keen eye for detail and can identify even minor defects.
* Excellent communication skills: You can communicate effectively with developers, project leaders, and other stakeholders.
* Strong work ethic: You're a motivated and result-oriented individual.
* Basic understanding of programming concepts: Familiarity with basic programming concepts will help you learn and adapt to the specific languages used in the role.
* Basic understanding of Linux: Familiarity with the Linux command-line shell will be beneficial.
* Python knowledge: Familiarity with Python is beneficial for being able to contribute to automated tests.
* Proficiency in English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
* Technical background: This can be gained through a formal education in a computer science or related technical field (Uni, FH, HTL), or through demonstrably relevant experience with technology and software.
* Part-time availability: A minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
Nice to have * Experience in software testing: Prior experience in software testing, especially for embedded systems, is a plus.
* Experience with specific testing tools: Experience with tools like JIRA and Git will be a plus but not mandatory for a junior position.
* Knowledge of testing methodologies: Familiarity with different testing methodologies will be a benefit. Experience with Audio Codecs and Networking: While not required, experience in these areas can be a valuable asset.
