You'll make an impact by
- You systematically analyze the state of the art in distributed LLM/FM inference and related network-aware strategies to identify current challenges and research gaps- Building on these insights, you precisely define and scope the problem space, setting clear research objectives aligned with industrial edge environments- Subsequently, you develop and implement innovative methods for optimizing the inference of distributed LLMs/FMs, leveraging techniques such as model partitioning, parallelism, and compression- To validate your approaches, you design and realize an industrial demonstrator, integrating your solutions into real-world edge network scenarios- Finally, you rigorously evaluate the performance of your implementations against established baselines, iterating on your methods to drive continuous improvement
This is how you'll win us over
- Education: You have completed or are about to complete a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field- Experience and Skills:- You possess excellent programming skills in Python and expertise in C++ is a plus- You have a strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Foundation Models (FMs), including their underlying principles- You are familiar with Linux environments and network management, and have a strong interest in AI and communication networks
- Ways of Working: You work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating initiative and reliability- Languages: Very good English skills are required
